Back to Liberia – DAKO WORLDWIDE TRANSPORT returned to the Port of Buchanan, Liberia, supporting the expansion of one of West Africa’s largest iron ore mining operations as part of Phase II of the Tokadeh Mine expansion project.
Our scope included the receiving, shifting, coupling, and precise positioning on rail tracks of shiploader components at the newly constructed Multi‑Purpose Quay (MPQ).

The operation covered the handling of the following project units:
Tripper Car: 42.90 × 10.90 × 17.50 m (L × W × H) | Weight: 150 tons
Tripper Tail: 19.50 × 11.48 × 7.56 m (L × W × H) | Weight: 21 tons
The complete operation was engineered in‑house by DAKO and executed by our experienced personnel using company‑owned heavy‑lift equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient installation under challenging site conditions.
This milestone was the result of several months of meticulous planning, with close coordination among all stakeholders involved throughout the process.

Having already supported this project with power plant component deliveries in 2017 and 2023, it was once again a great pleasure to contribute to the continued expansion of a landmark operation in West Africa.
